Humane Training Policy

1. Purpose
A1 Dog Products & Services is committed to delivering dog training services that prioritise animal welfare, comply with Australian animal welfare laws, and follow scientifically proven, humane methods.

2. Training Philosophy
We use positive reinforcement, rewards-based training, and force-free methods to encourage desirable behaviours. We do not use methods or tools that cause fear, pain, or distress, including but not limited to choke chains, prong collars, or electric shock devices.

3. Welfare Standards

Training is tailored to each dog’s breed, age, temperament, and physical condition.

Dogs are given regular rest breaks and access to water.

We monitor stress signals and adjust training accordingly.

Training sessions are designed to build confidence and trust.

4. Owner Education
We aim to empower owners with skills and knowledge to continue humane training at home. This includes providing written or verbal guidance and resources.

5. Compliance
Our practices comply with relevant Australian state and territory animal welfare legislation and the RSPCA’s guidelines for humane dog training.

6. Review
This policy is reviewed annually or when new research, laws, or welfare guidelines are introduced.
